I still have a lust and fascination for all things that hover but there will always be a special place in my heart for Bell products.
I spotted this Bell 429 sitting on the cart at Vertical Aviation near the Scottsdale Airport. I only cut three people off and crossed two lanes of traffic to get close enough to take a pic before they moved it into the hangar. Apparently this one is from Canada.
The 429 was developed primarily at the request of air medical customers. It has an all glass cockpit, single pilot IFR, seats a max of 8 in passenger hauling configuration, stacked tail rotors, and the big hump tells you that it has twin turbine engines. A retractable wheel set and aft clamshell doors are available as options.
