Would love to know the back story on this one. Note the yellow EXPERIMENTAL sign under the mid cabin window. Given the lethal additions mounted on each side I am thinking AH stands for Attack Helicopter or Attila the Hun.
I know my helicopters pretty well because I have a lot of time as self loading ballast and also just because I think they are super cool. I am always looking up when one flies by but the sound of a Bell 407 is very distinctive and instantly demands my attention. So when this bird came in on final and flew directly over me I hung up the phone without saying goodbye. Sorry bro.
N407AH landed on the Dillion Precision pad at Scottsdale Muni. It’s not everyday around here you see a 407 dressed in some kind of grey slash green urban camo with a mini-gun on one side and a rocket pod on the other. Then again considering where it was parked I guess it isn’t that extraordinary.
Cool bird but can you believe it, nobody offered me a ride. Bummer.
