Lifeguards Use Polaris Ranger Crew

Polaris Ranger Crew 800 used by the local Lifeguard service.  Pretty cool.  Did they let me drive it?  I ain't saying.

OK, I promise, last beach picture for the year.  Long time readers know how much I love the Polaris Ranger side by side ATVs so you can imagine how pleased I was to see the six place Crew version being used by our Lifeguard Service. The guys love them and say that they have been very reliable on the beach.

Actually,w e see a fair amount of traffic on the beach.  The SEALS and Marine Recon guys use FWD Ford F-250 and F-350 support trucks.  The local PD uses 4x4 F-150s.  The lifeguards use Honda Fourtrax quads, Subaru Outbacks and the Rangers pictured above.  Something new this year was the presence of Border Patrol vehicles which is just fine with me, go get 'em boys.  They were driving Jeep Unlimiteds mostly but we did see one of their new Ford Raptors which is a very bad ride no matter who you are but even more so as a duty rig.  Too bad I wasn't quick enough to snap a picture of it when I had the chance.
