Justice Catches Up With A Terrorist - UBL 901H
I got in late to my destination this evening and as I walked up the jetway to the terminal it was obvious that something was going on because my phone came to life with one new email and text message indication after another including some from a few very connected sources I don't hear from often. I paused with a great deal of apprehension and angst to learn what had happened. It was confirmed, United States forces caught up with Usama Bin Laden and he was killed during the operation. Finally, after almost 10 years, we got him and all of our guys are OK.
With the very best that a Four Seasons Hotel servi-bar has to offer, Glenlivet 12 Year Old Single Malt Scotch Whiskey, I raise a glass and drink a toast to the good guys. Well done gentlemen and thank you.
EDITORS NOTE - I was disappointed that the President decided not to release an after action photo of Bin Laden. The Nelson family now has to find another idea for this years Christmas cards. Plan B is the tried and true Coronado beach pic with the SEAL base instead of Dana Point or The Del in the background.
Hey, just a helpful suggestion to the political grandstanders and glory hounds in DC. Do everybody a big favor and get your narrative right before you go public with the second coming level announcements. Backtracking, revisions, modifications, misstatements, restatements, clarifications etc, etc look bad and do a disservice to the good men on the sharp end of the stick.
One last thing. Let me get this straight. According to this administration, kill missions are OK but enhanced interrogation techniques are not? A secret flight into sovereign territory, landing on foreign soil and double tapping HVT dirtbag numero uno is good but loud music, cold room temperatures and waterboarding at Gitmo is bad? Hey, don't get me wrong, I am happy with the results but that doesn't make a lot of sense to me. I say we take the gloves off once and for all, from start to finish.
End of sermon.
