GREAT GEAR RECOMMENDATION - Mountain House Wraps - A Full Meal For Water Boilers

Mountain House Wraps Breakfast Skillet was just what I been looking for in the morning after a cold bivy. All you gotta do is heat some water and wait a little bit.
Now, you know I love my Ramen noodle concoctions but they are not what I really want for breakfast. My answer has been bagels and cream cheese but the cream cheese is kind of a pain to spread when it is cold and I like mine best when they are toasted anyway. Not ideal, especially on a chilly morning when you are trying to get the fires stoked and warm from the inside. So I was pretty excited when I found a freeze dried meal that meets my discerning palate and specifications. Mountain House Wraps are light weight, easy to prepare, tidy, very filling, hot and pretty darn tasty for dehydrated food.
There are four different Wraps but my favorite is the Breakfast Skillet which cures my morning meal problem. Here is how they work. Tear the top off the package, toss the desiccant packet, boil 1.5 cups of water, pour it in the bag, zip the seal shut, and let it stand for 10 minutes. Open it up, chow down and enjoy.
It doesn't look real pretty but it tastes good (great when you are hungry and on the mountain), warms your insides and fills your belly. No really. This is a man sized meal that will get you going and keep you going on all 8 cylinders 'til lunch. Add a flour tortilla, which is what the Wraps were made for, a couple of shots of Cholula Hot Sauce and it is muy mas macho my friends.
Thanks.
