GREAT GEAR RECOMMENDATION - Bridgedale Summit Knee Socks

Really good socks are hard to find.  Really good over-the-calf socks are even harder to find.  Really good over-the-calf socks made for cold weather harder still.  The Bridgedale Endurance Summit Knee sock fits the bill on all three counts.  Get some for your next big adventure in the cold.

It sounds counterintuitive but many boots that are suitable or even made specifically for cold weather activities don't have insulation.  That makes the socks you wear incredibly important to your comfort, performance and safety.  In my never ending quest for great gear, I came upon the Endurance Summit Knee socks from Bridgedale.  I put them through the ringer and they passed muster.  I like 'em and will use them in the snow with Sorel Conquest pacs and up high on the mountain with Lowa Silberhorn boots and Black Diamond Sabertooth crampons.

They are made of Woolfusion which is 51% New Wool, 29% Nylon, 19% Endurofil-polypropylene and 1% Lycra.  They are dense, thick, very comfortable, warm and best of all, they stay up thanks to a nice wide band at the top of the socks.  Not much else to say other than I am pleased to recommend them to you.

Thanks.
