When we started this thing we thought long and hard about the name and I decided that Hardcore Outdoor not only sounded good but it also captured what we were and who we wanted to represent. Well, it has become more popular than I ever expected and I want to thank all of you.
However, it has come to my attention, over and over again, that many of my readers can't get to this site from their work computers. This is especially true for military, law enforcement, public safety and firefighters. The problem is that the name is getting caught by the internet filters run by the IT folks at each agency. That is cool, even though this is a clean site, I understand.

And by the way, I encourage you to send me your comments and gear suggestions. This is a lot of fun but hearing from the readers is the best part. Well, that is not totally true. UPS showing up every day with boxes of gear to test is the best part but talking with you folks is a close second. I especially want to hear from the troopers in the field. Tell me what is working for you and what you really like.
