I Finally Broke One - Polar Bear Soft Side Coolers
Well, it had to happen some time. I finally broke one of my highly coveted Polar Bear Coolers. As I have posted in earlier Odds and Ends articles I love my Polar Bear soft side coolers. They do not leak and they keep ice better than any other coolers we have used. But after almost three years of heavy use the zipper on one of my original red 24 Paks finally gave out. When I say heavy use, I am talking about being used at least twice a week during the school year for the kids sporting events, everyday use on the beach for a month, and then my weekend scouting, hunting, hiking trips. It faded out pretty good from the Arizona sun but up until this weekend it has worked beautifully. It wasn't the stitching, it was the teeth that actually failed but with as much dust and sand that it has been exposed to I am surprised it lasted this long. Actually, I think my brother broke it but he won't fess up to it.
Just to give you an idea of what kind of company Polar Bear Coolers is, I called them up this morning and actually spoke with a real live person. I didn't have to dial 1 for English or anything. They are gonna fix it for me with no problem. This is precisely the kind of outfit we like to promote. Good products, good people, good customer service. That is the way it is supposed to be, right?!
While I had them on the phone I ordered another Solar Bear 24 Pak. It won't fade out and it performs even better than the originals. Check 'em out, you will not be disappointed.
Thanks.
